Fernando Peire


Fernando Peire is on the Board of Caprice Holdings and is Director of The Ivy restaurant and The Club at The Ivy. He masterminded the opening of The Club at The Ivy in September 2008 and played a key role in organising The Ivy’s 20th anniversary celebrations in 2010, where a 30 minute play “Heavenly Ivy” by Oscar-winning screenwriter Sir Ronald Harwood was performed in the middle of dinner service in the restaurant, a militarily precise operation if ever there was one! Born in Gibraltar, Fernando had a fleeting stint working for the French Government before devoting himself to a career in the restaurant industry, joining The Ivy as Senior Maitre d’ in 1990. After 8 years, he departed to relaunch Quo Vadis in Soho. He also took on consultancy work with numerous clients including Morton’s Club, The Halcyon Hotel and Villa Nova in Barbados. In 2004, he was the opening consultant and then Director of the Frontline Club in London. Fernando rejoined Caprice Holdings as the Director of The Ivy in 2007. Fernando was “The Restaurant Inspector” in Channel 5’s critically-acclaimed eponymous series.
