Purchasing Director of Caprice Holdings and The Birley Group
After graduating from university with a BA Hons in Music & Theatre Studies, Paul went to Leiths School of Food and Wine in West London to do an intensive year’s diploma course.
Fresh out of college, he went to work as a Chef de Partie at Harvey Nichols’s Fifth Floor restaurant, where he stayed for 2 years. In 2001, he joined Michelin-starred Orrery in Marylebone as Chef de Partie and after a year, decided he was more interested in the purchasing side of the business. He moved to Conran Restaurants’ head office to become Assistant Buyer in 2002 and worked his way up to Head of Purchasing for D&D London by 2006. In 2009, he took his family up north where he headed up the purchasing for the Devonshire Group and Chatsworth Settlement Trustees; but the allure of the city was too strong, and in 2010, they headed back south, where Paul took up the role of Purchasing Director at D&D London Ltd.
Paul joined Caprice Holdings as Purchasing Director in January 2017. He is responsible for all buying across food and beverage, operations and capital expenditure.
